Cleveland Indians have a pretty good following I have up been to Indians game and usually buy a cheap ticket and the crowds can be sparse you can usually sit wherever you want , done the same with the Reds, both teams rarely sell out. I like baseball but football will always be king in Ohio No pro team has a better following than The Ohio St football program in Ohio. Buckeye football is a way of life in Ohio. Football in Ohio is amazing even HS football in Ohio is huge, miss the Friday Night Lights. I love baseball and MLB but its not as big as NFL and college football in Ohio.

The sheer number of games in baseball vs football has something to do with this. If there were only 16 games in a baseball season then each game would have a significant importance that would generate excitement and fan attention enough to drive attendance to sell out status.
