How long does it normally take to receive the title for a car? I went to the BMV about a month ago now...And still have not received my title in the mail! Should I call?

There is a rule that requires a dealer to get you a title within a certain time frame.

You should've received the title immediately. Something is definitely up.

Perhaps I should clarify. I moved to Ohio from out of state and registered my car in Ohio. I have the memorandum of title but the actual title with my Ohio address still has yet to come. It's been a little over a month.

If you owe money, you only get the memorandum certificate of title.

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying! Wow, I feel really stupid now.
