Not unemployed - but did you get a confirmation that your application or whatever was successful and you were approved?

The CARES Act rolled out initially to NYC and a couple other hot beds, with the rest of the nation following suite. Unemployment benefits, especially during a pandemic, are probably going to be a little more ambiguous as far as pay dates, etc.

If you really want to know - find a contact number and sit your butt down for X hours wait time and figure out. No one on here is going to help when we don't know if you even qualify or filled out everything correctly.

What do you mean qualify??? Where i work was shutdown and ive been unemployed for 5 weeks. I know how the unemployment system works. There are not any "qualifications" for the temporary increase like there are for the stimulus check. Also i have sat my butt down for the better part of 5 days teying to get through.

I was just trying to see if i could find updated information is all, not help. I apologize i guess i misunderstood. I was desperate and figured id try where i could.
Be safe and healthy

I was off 6 weeks and it took til week 5 to start getting my money.Went back to work for 3 weeks and laid off again last week. Then my factory tossed a vacation day for memorial day and threw it off again and more phone calls/emails to renee.Took lots of waiting on the phone ,and
emails to renee but got it resolved. Again,I got denied again and spent another 3 hrs on the phone getting it straightened out monday. Mine's 480 plus the extra 600.It was all under the covid-19 tab. Renee was a godsend!!!!

Well, the Cares Act is due to run out in about 3 weeks, any thoughts about what they are going to do? It's almost election time, you know TPTB are not going to forget that fact.

Is it worth the time to try and get this money? Sounds like a lot of wasted time.

I was unemployed as of March 30th and didn't receive my unemployment check until the end of June. The day after I was let go, I called a little over 400 times and finally got through. I am a telemarketer for a living so making the calls was like going to work. I figured out the numbers to click to get through faster. Write down the promps each time you call. At the end of June I received my retroactive pay for everything owed. If anybody has any questions or about what I did in between to survive please feel free to reach out.
