I wrote the moderators about starting a Akron forum, right now the only cities with forums are the 3 C's. Akron isnt a suburb of cleveland and the moderators said they needed enough people requesting a forum for Akron to create one , So lets let them know if you would be interested in a Akron or a Akron/Canton forum , post here......

Me too...way too many thinking akron is part of cleveland which it is NOT...too far and not the same type of groove as cleveland has..cities like hudson, twinsburg, etc are not in cleveland or cuyahoga county and there should be a forum for akron/summit county

Default Akron

Actually, I would like to see an Akron/Canton forum. It's a pain trying to find and read posts about Akron that are scattered in the Cleveland or general Ohio forums. As htlong stated, even though the CAK area is in NE Ohio, it is in no way part of the Cleveland metro area.

Just so you know, the main criteria for creating new subforums is a demonstrated history of discussing a topic. Getting a bunch more votes in the thread won't make it happen, unless there are already plenty of threads discussing Akron.

Why not just add it to the Cleveland one?

Maybe have like the Cleveland/Akron forum (including Canton). IMO, based on the cities on here that have their own forums, Akron is way too close to Cleveland to have its own forum. And if they are gonna make an Akron forum than they would have to make a Toledo, Dayton, and Youngstown forum also since there all around the same size as Akron or larger. So Im voting for Akron not to have its own forum.

Yeah, Akorn should definitely have its own forum, along with Toledo and Dayton. Youngstown, though, may be a tad bit too small to have its own forum.

Think of it like this - Cleveland is to Cincinnati as Akron is to Dayton. Cincinnati is not compared with Dayton and Akron should not be compared to cleveland. Akron is a boring dull city anyways.
