Actually, it is about $1200 that he owes. I'm sure he'll get someone to help him out with that and then he will end up getting his license. Also, someone will help him start his business. He actually (inadvertently) did a bang-up job of self-promotion. People tend to sympathize with folks who are in trouble with the IRS.

What's sad is when you ask a question and then all of a sudden you are being "looked into". I'll make sure I never ask a Presidential candidate a question if I get the chance to meet one.

A lot of self employeed people pay quarterly taxes, so what if he owes $1200. That can be twisted into "he owes taxes". Big deal in my opinion, he can pay those when he pays his next quarter taxes. Poor guy in my opinion for having his life examined like this.

I agree....he's suddenly being drug through the mud for what - asking a question? I guess this lets the rest of us know NOT to question "THE ONE".

It doesn't really matter who "Joe" is anyhow. What matters is Obama's answer to his question: "I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody".

Joe the plumber was just an average citizen in his own neighborhood when approached by Nobama. Joe asked a question that Nobama fumbled and let the cat out of the bag about spreading the wealth around" aka welfare. Now mainstream media nbc is compelled to take down average Joe as it was hurting their messiah. PATHETIC. Democrats Al Franken and Charlie Wrangle have a little problem paying their taxes but so what? The lengths the smear merchants of Obama and NBC will go to they will now go after just an ordinary citizen because he asked a question.

Thing is, he didn't just "ask" a question. He completely hardballed Obama.
