I've lived in Ohio all my life and always wondered why they didn't realize " it aint the speed of the pack that causes problems, it is the difference of speed within the pack that causes problems". I guess they finaly woke up and let traffic travel at the same speed. It's about time.

Absolutely, drove up to Ohio last week for a visit, and was cruising at 75 as I crossed over the WV/OH line, 10 miles later I was pulled over. Thankfully, I was just given a warning, but it's stupid when you go from WV where it winds and curves a lot more and the limit is 70 into rural Ohio and it goes down to 65; Virginia is the same way.

As a trucker, I'm thrilled that the speed limits have been equalized; at least on the interstates. the whole discussion was about not going faster in a truck but making the roads safer for ALL travelers by having everyone maintain the same speed. Although there are very few areas affected, it's still 55 mph for trucks if the car speed is 60 mph. I know there's sections of I-275 around Cincinnati and other sections of highway around Cleveland, so it's not a perfect law but goes a long way...
