Chloramine causes skin, respiratory, and digestive symptoms, sometimes life threatening, in many people wherever it is used. These are people who are fine with chlorine in their water. Learn more at chloramine.org.

Drink and cook with bottled water - including all liquids and all foods including rinsing potatoes, beans, You can wash hair in bottled water, too. I would not bathe anyone in it - especially young children. Showers should be brief. Buy a water saving shower head. Get wet, turn it off, soap, and then rinse quickly. Do not stand in the shower to dry off.

Minimum contact, is the best defense, if you have no other choice.

And make sure that bottled water is SPRING water. That's the only way you KNOW there's no chloramine in it. Bottled filtered water can be manufactured in a chloraminated municipality, and regular filtering does not remove chloramine.

Washing with it can make your clothes smell like urine. No joke.
