Why waste time eating vegetables when a good multi-vitamin will do the same thing? Though I do eat a big bowl full of oatmeal(old fashioned) with a more then generous amount of blueberries and walnuts every single morning for the last 30 years. But vegetables, ugh, boring, dull. Cept for the occasional bucketful of fried okra.

My family was Okie share croppers and there was a lot of; collards, okra, sweet potatoes, and black eyed peas. Sometimes they were so poor there was no meat other than what was in the pot for flavoring. I used to love "pot liquor" and corn bread.

Those meat and potatoes guys don't do so well as they age, mostly gout and heart disease. When you add in alcohol and cigarettes, they got some mighty powerful medical bills after about fifty –five years old.
