Has it gotten that bad down there? It does seem like there are a lot of people commenting on how crowded your area is getting. Are you still thinking of moving to the Northeast? OR are you hoping to move back to OK some day?

It's becoming more crowded by the day here. There are some positives; like the local Kroger having every darned thing imaginable in stock. And I mean just about everything from all over the world. It's a 24 hour city now; you can get anything you want at any time of the day or night.

There's a new high dollar urban style (residential units on the top three floors; all diners and shopping on the bottom floor) complex called The Venue that opened about a year ago and almost every inhabitant is from out of state; I would guess mostly Californians and New Yorkers. Traffic is miserable though. And our little burg has the dubious distinction of having the single worst, but THE WORST THREE congested stretches of highway in the entire state of Texas. Thankfully, all my traveling is done from here to points east, and the three traffic interchanges that I'm speaking of are all south and west of me.

We will eventually be moving to the Northeast. But I have to find work up there. Fortunately for me I start at a new position tomorrow (here locally) that in time will probably let us move up there and I'll work remotely.

Unfair Park - Study Figures Dallas-Fort Worth Has Fifth-Worst Traffic in U.S.

Quote:
INRIX is a formerly Microsoft-affiliated company that keeps track of traffic. And, far as it's concerned, the Dallas-Fort Worth is a congested mess (http://scorecard.inrix.com/scorecard/Scorecard/INRIX%20National%20Traffic%20Scorecard%201-25%205.pdf - broken link) -- fifth-worst in the country, matter of fact, behind only Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Its scorecard for the DFW is highly detailed too, listing the 25 worst bottlenecks -- the top four of which are in Tarrant County
The bolded part might as well say "Behind Synopsis' house" because all three are on Loop 820, which is less than 1/2 mile from my house.

OH my!!! Lucky you to live right near the most congested roads around. I don't like traffic. I don't even like to drive, but you do what you have to do.

Good luck with your new job, Synopsis.

Hey Jammie,

If you don't like traffic, then you had better stay clear of Cleveland, Oh.

Good luck on your new job too, Synopsis.
