There are lots of small town and city events all over Oklahoma and I always hear about them too late. I started this thread to try and get information ahead of time so I don't miss them.

This weekend is the 2009-2010 Wildlife Expo in Oklahoma City. It started yesterday and ends tomorrow. Missed out.

October offers the Bassnanza at Kerr Lake, Old Settlers Day in Muldrow Park both on October 3rd. And Main Streets Fall Chili Cook-off, Stampede and Burnout on October 12th in Downtown Sallisaw.

What do you guys have to offer?

Let me give you some advice on the Wildlife Expo-it's more fun if you're a little kid, I think. I went a couple years ago and it was really geared toward kids. Of course, that's probably a good thing because we need to involve the younger generation!

As far as finding out about local fun stuff, buy and Oklahoma Today magazine. They have a lot of stuff listed in those. There's a bluegrass festival coming up in Guthrie next weekend I think.

Thanks for the advice about the Wildlife Expo Heather. I do have children and they enjoy being outside. But, I couldn't drag them by their hair to something like this. I however, don't mind acting like a child and trying new things. It sounds just like something I might like. LOL

Thank you also for posting the Bluegrass Festival.

This information may be right up someone's alley. You never know what type of activity a person enjoys.

This is a great idea, so those of us who are very busy can find out things that are going on before we miss out.

Also, check Wimgo.com. They list OK events.

This should be a sticky, or it will get buried in the archives.
