Hi everyone! First time post. We are looking for information on Chickasha. I have been surfing the net the last few days trying to find information on the schools, neighborhoods, etc and haven't come across much. I found that north of Choctaw is no good, and the crime rate is high for it's population. That's about it.

We currently live in Norman in a decent neighborhood on the southeast side. We have been renters and are now ready to purchase a home. Trouble is here in Norman the prices are too high. I started looking around to other towns on Realtor.com and found quite a few cute older homes in Chickasha that we would love. I would have to commute to Norman but only work 3 days a week so I don't think that will be a problem. If we purchased a home in Chickasha we would want to be able to go walking in the neighborhood and make sure our 6 year old son would be safe in the backyard playing. We've seen a lot of listings for older homes in central Chickasha that we like, including some that are as north as Colorado. Please, any info on this town would be greatly appreciated.
