Hey, it's the greater Omaha area so it still counts right?

Anyways, I found this while browsing Flickr. They have pictures from the 1850's through the late 1970's from what I've seen so far. Lots of great pictures including some of the old Lake Manawa Clubhouse, which I never even knew existed.

Enjoy.

My Dad's youngest brother inherited the family picture collection after Granny died in 1977. I remember some of the pictures were taken in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area when the railroad was being built in the 1860's. Sadly a fire in their house took everything but the clothes on their back.

I found this site dedicated to the Playland Speedway. That's all I was able to track down unfortunately. My mom and aunt might have some old pictures from the park though.
