I think so. First of all, USDA Choice steaks should not cost as much as they do at OS. I have found just as good steaks behind the counter at Hy-Vee (for a fraction of the cost.) and Mexican carnecerias in South Omaha. I have not been to "Just Good Meats" yet, but from what I have heard from others, it's even better.

Omaha Steaks is a great example of the power of branding, they are good, but I much prefer to eat something that hasn't been frozen from over the counter.

I don't care for their steaks. I think they are no better than what you get at the supermarket if you know what to look for. They only advantage is that all their steaks are the same size, so you get even cooking when cooking several at once.

Once upon a time, they were fabulous, now I think they're just average, if not over priced.

Everybody missed the main reason OS is considered at the top of their trade. Their steaks in my opinion are good but the real reason is the shipping. Other areas of the country do not have the same excess to beef/steak products like we do here and OS fills that need.
