The Rave a Westroads is nice and I think it might be cheaper than Village Pointe.

I like Rave a lot; it's a really cool place in a great location. That being said, I find everything to be overpriced. My two favorites are The Great Escape and Village Pointe. Can't go wrong with Twin Creek either

I just found out from my sister-in-law that The Great Escape (72nd & Sorensen Pkwy) shows FREE movies each Tuesday, at 9:00 AM. Apparently they're for children & their parents?

She takes her daughter every Tuesday. Sounds kinda cool to me.

Maybe I can take my kids, who are in their 20s?

The two best theaters of Omaha are sadly now gone. The #1 all time greatest theater was the Indian Hills (had one of the biggest screens in the midwest) and #2 the Cinema Center.

At least we still have the Dundee for indie and foreign films.

or the movie theatre that was near 132and Q Street called Millard Cinema 4

or one that was near shopko on 84th and Center (had like 2 screens or 3 and was around in the late 80's)

Great Escape is good. they and Star Cinema show free movies during the summer.

my only problem with Great Escape and also the Rave at Westroads

is I wish they played movies before noon.

the AMC theatre near Oakview and Star Cinema in CB are the only theatres open before noon.

Twin Creek is also good.

I walked from mid-town down there to twin Creek in 2007 and 2008 on Memorial Day.

True it was a 3-4 hour walk

but it was worth it plus I needed to lose some weight (i.e. part of my excercise regiment)

say arent they building a movie theatre or something near Shadow Lake or something

For me comfort matters. The seats at Village Pointe are not comfortable. So we go to AMC at Oakview. Much better seats. Rave at Westroads is nice, but I don't like having to roam down the maze of hallways -- not good for a woman alone to feel secure.

I, too, miss Inidan Hills. Was a classic. I also miss the drive-in over in Council Bluffs. What a shame to have that gone. This would have been the perfect summer for movies there -- not so blazing hot (yet).
