I live in the La Vista area and I'm looking for a hair salon.

I get "alternative" haircuts and I'm also planning on getting my hair dyed as well. I've been to six hair salons (all over Nebraska and Texas) trying to get a cut which I've only successfully gotten once.

I know that if my hair cut gets messed up then the dye job will be totally screwed.

What are some good hair salons in Omaha that specialize or have a large clientele for "alternative" (scene/emo/punk/whatever you want to call it) haircuts and dye jobs?

Thanks in advance!

Come over to my place - my garage, specifically. I've got scissors, 3M Spray-On Adhesive, and black spray paint. I can give you a Goth look.

More and more....our theological differences aside (we need not get into them here), I'm thinking if I ran into you in real life we'd get along pretty well.

lol...3m and black spray paint. That's grand.

I used to go to Reaction (168th and Center), they were the first place I knew that could do cuts I wanted. They were voted second best salon in the US a few years back. I only stopped going to them since my stylist went to a different salon (The Grove on 114th and Dodge, also excellent) and I followed her there. Also prepare to feel a bit intimidated there, I had a hard time relaxing in the atmosphere but they do know hair.

I know what you mean about going for a specific look. I've tried many different salons even ones that claim to be alternative or rock type places that couldn't get the cuts I wanted, even if I brought in photos.

They do a lot of trendy rock and roll influenced cuts. If that is what you are looking for then you should go check it out.
