Hi, i have a friend who stay in OC told me that OC has no trees, only parks has trees. Is that true?

I am just curious, like, how can a place has no trees? As you can tell, i don't stay in OC. This is just a question from a curious mind. Thanks.

If your friend is basing her opinion of the entire county on the Garbage Grove area, then she needs to get out and drive around. Her "no trees" proclamation is myopic at best.

Gee.. come on.. Garbage? I just wanna know if that area has trees. She told me that her place is only concrete, shops and roads. Maybe there isn't any plot allocated for trees or there are only some trees, not as much as it should be?

Ever hear of orange groves? Just kiddin'...

I see trees every day, and mountains, and cactus. But, I admit, OC's no rainforest. We have beautiful planned communities, with many trees (palm and otherwise), but, I'm sure you're asking about native plants...

OC is classified as the Mediterranean climate. The native vegetation of Mediterranean climate lands must be adapted to survive long, hot summer droughts and prolonged wet periods in winter.

According to Wiki, Mediterranean vegetation examples include the following:We have many wildfires because of this climate. When mixed with the Santa Ana winds, it's a perfect cocktail for brush fires.

OC is not natural forest land. It is mostly flood plain and grass land. Millions of trees have been planted by people.
