Hi All,

We'll be moving next month to OC ( job in Irvine ) from Ontario,Canada.

We're thinking about renting for a while ( family of 4, 2 kids ) in any of above communites. Any feedback, or comparison of these communities are more than welcome !

Also, how bad would be commute from these places to Irvine. Is it possible to use side streets to commute to IRVINE (Univ./California)- if yes, how bad is the traffic ?

In advance thank you for your input/help,
Goran

Racho Santa Margarita is a bit further east, but a great neighborhood to raise a family. Lake Forest is a bit older but going thru a rehab and Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills are areas w/i Lake Forest that are newer. Both also very family friendly and good schools. You can either take the fwy, toll roads or yes there are side streets that are pretty straight forward.
Need help finding a rental house, don't hesitate to let me know. I live in the area and love it.
Best of luck
