I'm in a conundrum. I am taking a job in Irvine but currently live in Topanga Canyon area. Artists, musicians, typical California free-spirits.

I'm not sure if there is a similar area available in the OC that would be a reasonable commute (20-30 minutes to reach an 8-5 job ) to Irvine. Any suggestions?

Single, professional woman. Must have access to hiking, jogging, nature, beach if possible. The outdoors is my therapy. I'm a hippie at heart who appreciates the finer things in life, food, wine, music, interesting, ecclectic people.

Could really use some help as I have only seen the "sterile" side of the OC.

Thanks!!!!!!

More specifically than Laguna Beach, Laguna Canyon in Laguna Beach. Modjeska is a good call too and that stretch of Santiago Road before and after and Trabuco Canyon are nice too, but probably further than you want to drive. Parts of San Juan Capistrano, east of the 5 are good too, but again, maybe further than you want to drive.

Yes, because as everyone knows, Austin is ground-zero for the "California Dreamin' lifestyle ".

More geared to the "I'm a hippie at heart ...."

I just spent 5 years in OC, didn't see anything resembling the ""California Dreamin' lifestyle "
or "hippy at heart"

Lot of hippy at hearts here in Austin

I spent 44 years there, including 13 in the canyons and the rest at the beach. Both are readily available.
