The parents are letting their kids out and play on the neighborhood street semi-supervised every afternoon. They ride their bikes all over the place and even play hockey with goal posts setup on both ends of the street. They just put "children at play" signs to warn traffic and pretty much "own" the street for the entire afternoon. Kids can get rowdy quickly when there are so many of them at play. Is this legal in Lake Forest? It's not just a noise issue but also a safety issue as kids don't care about traffic when they are playing. The parents have to keep yelling at their kids to warn them of on coming traffic. Sooner or later someone will get run over. Also, will this hurt the curb appeal of the community? Thanks!

You need to let up and get a life. Kids will play. Thats life. Kids play outside that is life also. Has been that way for thousands of years. Unless you live in a gated community or something Just deal with it. If you don't like it move to a retirement community where you won't have to deal with any children.

They are kids dude. Relax. It's not illegal to be a kid. At least not yet. It's a residential street? You as the driver needs to watch out for kids at play, pedestrians and old ladies. Get your face out of your smart phone and pay attention to the road. Kids play on my street all the time. I have been known to go out and throw the ball with them. It's called being neighborly.

Children playing outside? Oh the humanity! Don't these parents know kids are supposed to be inside playing video games, facebooking and tweeting #yolo

Actually kids playing in the streets may increase property sellability/values. It conveys the message this is a safe and neighborly community where parents feel comfortable letting their kids play together outside and the people are connected. To many that has far more appeal than a stark empty neighborhhod where the curtinas are all closed and there are bars int he windows and doors. Or where the place is full of scrunchy faced old ladies howling "Stay off my lawn!" at any passing kids.
