I always liked the Spanish or beachy flavor of the CA town names and "Lake Forest" sounded so un-CA to me. Anyway, I love CA and hope to get back there someday.
Lake Forest is south of El Toro.

You get off the 405 at Lake Forest drive and turn east. If you don't mind the heat in the summer, it is a beautiful, peaceful community. There are several small lakes, and plenty of trees, as the name implies. The Marine air base is now The Great Park. The park is pretty new and not yet fully developed, but it is huge and well planned. Of course, for my money, nothing beats living by the sea.
