As a fellow millennial living in an era of high real estate prices, high tuition, high cost of living, I wanted to know how you all are living.

You should clarify between renting alone or with roommates. Most Millenials have roommates.

Good point, doesn't look like I can edit poll. However general renting should suffice. I mean, technically you can own a home with a roommate/non family member as well but I'm not about to add that. But do share any details by posting to this thread.

I don't know if you'll find many millennials on this forum, plenty of gen xers and baby boomers though.
Do you want us to vote so you can see your future?

If I can get 10 millenials to vote, that would be enough data to feed my curiosity.

Gen x and boomers are welcome to reply with their housing timeline/stories although it may be totally different from our path. I'm assuming previous generations owned early and vet low percentage of renters.

Thank you fellow millennial, I can confirm you are by your screen name lol

To include my own status, I also rent with my other half. We make $130k combined (pre tax of course)

Renting, although that includes a lot of traveling.

Graduated in 2014, still at home, working almost full time while my future roommate and I are saving up until we decide our long-term career paths/place we want to live.

Renting, with housemates. Currently working 60 hrs+ a week, saving up to go back to school (looking at a different career track - bio-engineering). I personally don't see owning a home as a necessity (or priority), but I do understand the value of investing in property. I'm over suburbia though, even the more 'urban'/dense version that OC offers, so definitely looking to establish myself somewhere else...whether in California or elsewhere.

Washington, Oregon and Colorado are all really attractive to me. Parents are trying to sell me on Arizona (where they live), but I'm far from convinced despite the fact that you can have a pretty decent QOL out there for a much lower COL.
