Have seen several threads recently where a few had called Anaheim boring, I don't get it. We just had a great playoff game at Honda Center last night between the Ducks and Jets. The Ducks are one of the best teams in the NHL and a heavy favorite to win the Stanley Cup. We just had the kickoff of the Star Wars convention with the director of the new trilogy (JJ Abrams) the cast of the new trilogy and the original cast. It will bring in over 100,000 people this weekend. We just had Wonder Con, one of the best comic conventions in the world which brought in over 60,000 people. The Angels, team with the best record in all of MLB last year are back in full swing (pun intended) now at Angel Stadium. Disneyland is kicking off their 60th anniversary celebration in a month that will include the annual 24 hour opening on May 22nd. Thats just an example of whats going on here in ONE month! That doesn't even include all the national touring acts and events going on at clubs like House of Blues and City National Grove or all the great restaurants and bars here. There is not another city in all of OC that comes anywhere close to delivering this kind of entertainment. I seriously have no clue how someone could be bored out here.

Looks like mbell changed her tune about Anaheim. Pretty soon Santa Ana will be next.

I know you're talking about Anaheim, this is more about the whole county but I hate when people say there's nothing to do in Orange County and it's just a boring suburbia. It's just not the case.

If you think about it, there's just about as much stuff you can do here as most major cities. I think a lot of people come from the viewpoint of comparing it to a downtown area, where everything is shoved in your face. Here you have to find the stuff you want to do and drive to it usually. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to do.

We have pro sports teams (and some of the best in their leagues), some of the best beaches in the country, amusement parks, amazing restaurants, a million bars, huge music venues, close to ski resorts, etc. Doesn't seem too boring to me, just have to be actively looking for stuff to do.

Anaheim has Zankou Chicken, lots of places to get flooring, the Packing District and the mouse. Stop the hate!

Update: And for any Germans out there (usually octogenarians), Phoenix Club. Good beer and decent food.

Speaking of German food, I hear Jagerhuas is pretty good. The packing house is great!

Anaheim: A great place to buy a floor!

The Chamber of Commerce will be pleased.

Anaheim, like every city, is boring if all someone does is sit in front of a computer and denigrate everything. For those who get out, as you note, Anaheim has a lot to offer.
