Would be interested in hearing from people knowledgeable with these condos. I see them for sale with shockingly high HOA fees, ranging from a "low" side of $650/mo to a high of $1,200/mo.
What's included in these HOA fees? Why are they so high?
My parents are around $650 and in a Co-Op. That includes all landscaping, all exterior painting, the roof, appliance replacement if you are using the association appliances and not custom ones, basic cable TV (vastly reduced rates if you want more channels. My parents get about 600 HD channels for like $45 a month), 24/7 gate guarded security, security patrols, toilet and shower replacement (again if the standard ones), drain services, garbage disposal, 2 golf courses (one with a clubhouse and restaurant), 6 pools, a basketball/volleyball gym, 3 workout rooms, lawn bowling courts, bocce courts, tennis courts with clubhouse, pickle ball courts, horseshoe pit, equestrian center, garden plots available (for growing vegetable), a library, 6 clubhouses with any club you can name, a wood shop, auto shop, photography room, ceramics room....
I read somewhere that $1,200 HOA included meals. Not sure if it's true.
No, that "HOA" is more like $2,000, but that is only 311 units in The Tower out of the more than 12,000 units.
