I would argue that it's not necessarily healthy but...more like lazy and easy (by that, I mean it takes a lot less thought). I find it more enriching to expand your horizons.

If you and your spouse are the same race, I contend you would prefer your kids marry same race if everything else were the same. The anecdotal and empirical messages are irrefutable.

IMO this is true for ppl we marry. We want somebody that is “like us”. But, dating white men & marrying one is super different than caring about cultural differences or who is living in our neighborhood. If they have the money to live here, I don’t care what color they are.
