My name is Matthew and I started an Adult Fitness/ Master Swim team which is held in Huntington Beach. I have coached for many years and swam competitive for over 12 years. I ended my swim career at California State University of Northridge (NCAA Division I). I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and have learned a lot with real life situations. Learning the material and applying it to my everyday life has improved my views on the body and movement. I am committed to change people's views on Swimming as just a recreation activity. Swimming provides Low Impact on all joints and increases Range of Motion within the whole body. Tones and shapes the body while providing an effective cardio based exercise that will provide a greater exercise in half the time you spend at the gym.

I make swimming fun and interesting for those who need some other activity which brings excitement to there work out.

I would emphasize the fun part first and bring in the goal setting for the best and most dedicated of your swim students afterwards. I took basic swimming lessons as a young child and it was a long time ago, but they did want us to think of it as fun. Of course, you deal with an older age group I imagine, so a few reasonable goals should not take the fun out of it.

Swimming is great exercise and also fun - as long as you don't have any body image issues or have your own pool.
