Hey, what's going on with the Durango forum and talk of Tellecommuters over Broadband? Same with Joshua Tree, California ... and ... also true with Ashland's fancy brochures? Does Ashland prefer home based businesses over new coffee shops?

What exactly does a Tellecommuter do on Ashland's broadband systems? Do they write books? Magazine articles?

Tellecommuters typically log into their company's intranet via a VPN, or virtual private network, and work like they were at a desk in their office in LA or San Francisco.

Not sure if you realize this but the Rogue Valley is bigger than the Bend area and a lot easier to access, it's a good option for a place to relocate a business. Especially with I-5 running through the area.

No offense intended, but as an ex-telecommuter myself I feel compelled to mention that it is spelled: telecommuter, with only one "l". The "tele" prefix means "at a distance," as in telemetry.

I hadn't even realized I had spelled it incorrectly. Goes to show I shouldn't be posting late at night while tired.
