I don't know what you expect to find and how much you can afford. The coast can be pretty expensive. I've been to Fayetteville Ar. twice and loved it. My daughter and her husband moved there for his work. Reminds me a little of Eugene without the mountains. I could live there. Sometimes the grass looks greener, until you get there. I love living in Oregon, been here 44 years, probably never move, but if I had to NW Arkansas would be a good second choice.

I grew up in Eugene and frequently visit Fayetteville. Something about Eugene just feels like the place is fading or stuck in a rut. A lot of the areas I knew just seem like they aren't quite as kept up as they used to be. I think a lot of people there just really resist any kind of change. Last fall did some biking on the bike paths along the river that I used to bike daily for years and it had a somewhat threatening and ominous vibe with all the homeless and druggies. I guess no place ever stays the same. Fayetteville is smaller but it feels to me like it has more energy somehow. I think the whole NW Arkansas region is just booming more economically than the southern Willamette Valley.
