Hi everyone.

Now before I even start, please know that I have done extensive searching on this topic (trust me). However, I would still love to get more input on this.

I accepted a job offer in Winter Haven, but am unsure as to where I should be looking to live. I'm a single 22 y/o female and would love to be somewhere with a decent population of young professionals. I don't need a crazy nightlife, but would definitely like a city/town with some life and energy. I love to go out and meet new people, but don't need something going on every night of the week. Basically, as long as there are people out on a Friday/Saturday night, that's good enough for me.

I know the commute from Orlando would be absolutely awful so I don't expect to be living downtown or north of downtown, but are there any areas more on the south end or somewhere between Winter Haven and Orlando you would recommend I take a look at? I'm willing to deal with a sizable (but still realistic) commute.

I'm totally new to the area (or really, Florida in general) so am happy to hear your thoughts. I can handle positive or negative comments, but please keep in mind that my decision has already been made and I will be relocating either way (i.e. I've already accepted the job)...would just appreciate any and all advice on locations to check out.

Thank you!

Wow, Winter Haven is really out there but Hunter's Creek, Winter Garden and Dr. Phillips/Windermere would be good options. They are relatively close or easily accessible. Even in these areas you would doing a 30-45 minute commute. Davenport may also be good if you want to be closer.
