hello forum. In the process of looking for a condo to use during the winter months in Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary or Mount Dora area.

Looking at cost wise..... HOA fees, Taxes, Insurance....... what MUST be done if leaving it left empty from april-nov (ish)??? Does AC have to be left on? Besides things like turning off water, unplugging, setting timer for light/radio..... what should or must be done to avoid Issues? (mold?)

Any input would be most appreciated!

PS, another thing.....if AC has to be left on, say 80 degrees, what kind of electric bill would that be looking at? I know different KWH rates are around, but I'm just talking "general". Thanks! Bob in Michigan

You have it.. the AC NEEDS to be on.. at least 80..

My family got a bill for $140 in our 1,300 sq ft townhome in June/July while in MI for the 4th of July.

We turned it up to 80 while gone for 3 weeks.

Turn off main water switch, AFTER turning off the Water heater circuits (one time the hot water heater burned up the elements)

On another note, you just might be able to rent the place during those times.. especially in peak season times of summer vacations.

If you want to know more about that. pm me.
