It's obvious, most of my friends are struggling big time looking for a job in SoFl, even though they have degrees and super smart Miami's economy is a pit, it's never been that great after all...

We are a tourist based economic state. We also depend on snowbird revenue. When the economy is down all over the country/world.....we are bound to suffer from both sides. If I were a young person, I would consider moving elsewhere to start/relocate my family.

Unhappy NH Jobs

Don't belive what you hear about the Northeast for jobs either. There aren't any. You can't even find a min wage pt job. Add heat, priceing of housing, taxes. to name a few.

lmao

California had a higher unemployment rate than FL for much of this recession (it's pretty much equal between the two states now at ~12.4%). The difference is that CA is financially BROKE FL is less likely to send you an IOU or try and sell off its state resources to fix the budget.

The larger they are, the harder they fall. California has a bloated state government that needs some serious reform. The sad thing is that California is such a strong economy but it really is held back by such an inept state government that just knows how to tax and spend.

They are the US version of Greece:

California is a greater risk than Greece, warns JP Morgan chief - Telegraph

Sad thing about Florida. It doesn't have a diverse economy. It's been proven time after time, that it's no place for young professionals. It's for the retiree with some pocket change to spend. (These days, not so much anymore either).

Let's hope things improve for Central Florida. It's a nice place, and deserves more progressive minded individuals to lead, and businesses that'll follow suit. (Not just people wearing (mice and dogs) costumes telling the area how to be run).
