Hello Folks, please check out the following map and tell me which Orlando areas are decent and which ones are not. For example, in my other thread I mentioned a cheap condo a few blocks north of The Mall of Florida and almost next to route 528, but I was told that that area, along with the Orange Blossom Trail area, is a crime infested area (I have shaded the area in red). Please tell me which parts of Orlando, outside of the red area, are decent (and affordable to live in) and which ones aren't. Thanks!

Are you only interested in the shaded area? Because a lot of that isn't good. Belle Isle can be nice but I don't really know much about that area.

You should look at Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Maitland, possibly Conway for decent and more affordable. I'm not really sure if you'll find $20k condos, though.

No, I was told to stay away from that area.

Can you show me where they are in the map I showed you? if you could divide the map into good and bad sections that would help

It doesn't have to be in the shaded area; that's the area I'm staying from. I want to know where the good parts are in the entire map I showed you.

There are 100 threads on here about good and bad areas, why are you reinventing the wheel?

By the way, Belle Isle is safe.

this is just based on my knowledge and observations, I'm more familiar with the north and east side of the metro than I am the south and west. So if any one disagrees feel free to make your own map.

Your map should go about 10 miles further north, along I-4. There you will find Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Heathrow, and Lake Mary. Those areas are really nice, and reasonably safe. There are business parks in Maitland (near the top of the map) and Heathrow and I'm hoping we'll see more jobs opening up there.
