Eastern Orange County bordering Brevard. Look along SR 520 (Chuluota & Christmas). Also parts of Northeastern Orange County around the Wekiwa river basin area.

yeah you can't meet both the visible neighbors criteria and the distance criteria in your price range. You'd have to pay serious cash for a plot of land that big in close proximity to town. Best bet is to look out past Four Corners, Apopka, Geneva, Mims, Chulouta, Sorrento/Sanford but I suspect on account of the land size alone its going to be more money than you're looking at spending to have a ranch in one of these locations. Even out by Little Big Econ there are lots of places with no homes but then where there is a home there's usually at least a few of them.

Its not efficient to only have one home in terms of running a power grid and sewage.

Narcoossee. Only 15 min to airport,5 minutes to new medical city.Buy land, then build. That is the cheapest way. We have 10 acres in Narcoossee.Bought it to build a home on but changed our mind. Will be moving in the future to NC.

Now is a great time to buy. When the medical city is in full swing in a couple of yrs this area will be untouchable.Check out the area.Beautiful.You can have horses, ride your four wheelers or have a party. No neighbors freaking out over the noise.Pretty cool living out here. If you hear a party thru the woods go meet folks. No formal invite required.

Check out Re-Max realty.Sherry McMurtrie (I think I spelled her name right), she was the BEST realtor ever. She was a good sport, obviously a city lady but graciously took us to some pretty remote properties. She even started bringing jeans and boots! Can't sing her praises enough!!

It is beautiful here,if you are nice,WELCOME!!!If you are not,Clermont is a nice area too.

Well you may not be able to buy a 20 acres ranch in that close proximity but in some the areas already listed and places like Marham Woods Road you can buy a home that surrounded by woods an gives the impression of seclusion.

A "NCnewbietoo" who now lives in Orlando, was a "newbie" to NC, but wants to go back to NC now?

One thing to check on is county ordinances regarding things like shooting guns. You might end up next to someone who loves to shoot rifles all day into dirt berms. Noisy and possibly dangerous. Just something to consider for anyone who is moving out of city limits (or right on the line, in city limits, which is my current case. UGH)

There are several places in most directions.Geneva, Chuliotta, to the East. Parts of Longwood to the North Groveland, Mascotte, and parts of Clermont to the West. are some examples. in order to be more neighbor free the larger lots will be required. With a further drive you have places like Howie in the Hills, or Mt. Dora and a variety of others..
