Can anyone assist me with some information about Florida? My family and I are relocating from NC to Florida and have these areas in mind, Orlando, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Winter Garden, Kissimmee, and Winter Springs. Which areas should we consider or not consider. We have children and are looking to be safe!

Can you give more details- budget, where you'll be working, anything in particular you're looking for? On your list, Kissimmee isn't the best area. Winter Garden is either good or iffy depending on which part of town (south of Colonial is nicer). You should also look at Windermere and Dr. Phillips.

Just curious, why are you leaving NC? There are many good places here that have good schools. It depends where you'll be working as well. Of the ones that you've mentioned, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, and Winter Springs are a good start. The others aren't that great.

Hope this helps!

I agree though I would urge you to add Longwood (next to Altamonte Springs) to the list. I would put it ahead of Winter Springs. Lake Mary is a bit further but worth adding as the schools are excellent.
