I was walking by the Arena last week just before a Magic game and noticed a lot of guys out hawking Magic tickets. Has anyone ever bought from them? What are their prices like? Is it legal? I thought it was, since the police was right there, but you never know.

It's legal, for the most part. Some of them even work for places like Stub Hub, or so I've heard.

Yes, its legal. They are the primary reason why the Magic consistently "sell out" but don't neccessarily have a capacity crowd. They often buy up all the remaining tix.

Another good way to get good tickets is to go to the Magic website and buy a ticket that a season pass holder is reselling because they won't be going to the game. My son gets pretty good seats for less than $60 sometimes. The other night 2 of his friends were able to get 8 tickets but they were up pretty high.

I've never bought a ticket from one of those guys. Can you haggle with them? Are their prices lower than going to the box office?

That was supposed to say $8.00 tickets. 4 key doesn't type sometimes:-(

One other comment about getting tickets from the site. You have to purchase by 5 on game days to get them.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I'm kind of tempted to try it one of these days, I was just worried about giving someone money for fake tickets. But I guess they wouldn't sell fake tickets right outside the venue/in front of the police.
