Does anyone have pros and cons for this community/neighbourhood? Prices are low but not many are on the market, so is it just finances (all 3 are short sales) or something more difficult.. i.e. vandalism, termites, soil subsistance??? Looking to return from overseas and semi-retire in a safe, relatively quiet area that still has shopping, entertainment, etc within reasonable reach.
Thanx in advance

Not a bad area it's kind a tween with Casselberry/Longwood on one side and Winter Springs/Tuskawilla on the other.

Don't know of any soil issues, area has mix lot sizes and termites only if not treated.

Hope this helps,

Default Mount Greenwood, Winter Springs, FL

Thank you so much Broker Dave. I really appreciate you response. Now, allowing for the rules.... are you able to advise me if YOU work as a Broker or Buyers' agent? and is there a way we can communicate? so far I have not allowed my actual email access.
One Broker decline to help as he feels that the work involved in a short sale does not return enough to cover his bills - which we can all relate to.
But I am currently in Australia, need to get on to FHA, etc etc and I would like to help prevent the Seller, the Bank and myself any extra costs of actuaal foreclosure.. I am looking to semi retire on limited but sufficient funds.

Any tips?

There are several communities that can offer what you are seeking , at the price you want. Several are newer than Mount Greenwood. With the changes in building codes you may find it more advantageous for the newer properties.

This may give you a few ideas.

Remember, even though it may be a short sale or sold as-is a contract can still be written for a right to inspect. So should you find termites or something else not good you can get out of the deal.
