We're looking to buy a new home, but it doesn't have a pool yet. Wondering what others' experiences have been with cost, hassle, etc. Also, anyone with pools and kids (2/4 yrs old) - how much use have you gotten, and what are good safety devices to keep them out of it?

two people I know got fairly simple pools not huge but not small either. $65,000. It is cheaper to buy a home with a pool , than add it later.
