I keep seeing things about jacuzzis in the room but every time I google I can't find a direct answer.

Does anyone have personal experience with the above? Or with the hospitals? I've heard a ton of good things about Winnie Palmer, and just as many bad things so I'm not sure what to think. I haven't heart too much about Winter Park.

I'm not sure I understand how this is not what you have in mind. I have seen birthing centers with kiddie pools, but they weren't any bigger than a jacuzzi.

While Winnie Pamer is a great place I myself would just call them and ask.

Hi acejka,

Winnie does indeed have jacuzzi's but these are for hydrotherapy. Mothers can relax in these until they are dilated 8cm then they must get out to birth. In order to give water births it must be a free standing tub or pool that doctors and medical staff can surround completely in the event something out of the ordinary happens.

Their concierge info can be found here: http://www.orlandohealth.com/winniepalmerhospital/ForPatientsandVisitors/Concierge.aspx?pid=2938

In case you have not seen it, here is the Winnie tour video: http://www.orlandohealth.com/winniepalmerhospital/Takeatour/Takeatour.aspx?pid=2941

If you have any questions about physicians or services you can call 321-8HEALTH

Hope that helps. Best of luck!
