Does anyone know where I could take my vehicle to get repaired from a mechanic in the Winter Springs/Oviedo area or thereabouts? General work, nothing specific like just transmissions or just brakes. I'm suspicious of them all now after getting scammed several times, so I need someone with a good track record.

Thanks.

I would like to know of someone too in the same area. It's great when you can find an honest auto mechanic.

Doug -407-285-3295, He is off Forsyth between Colonial and University.

I was having a transmission issue and went to AAmco who lied thru their teeth and told me I needed a $3300 trans job. I took it to Doug, he found it was an $80 part... 2 yrs later and going strong. This is typical of him.

I took my car to Mechanics Plus off 436. Problem turned out to be a fan belt needed replacing - for $90? They also tried to repair my link struts or something and change my oil for an extra $700. I had to repeat what he said, as I wasn't sure my ears heard correctly. Not sure I'm going back.

Thanks for the info. Word of mouth is the best recommendation. I will keep him in mind if something pops
