Osceola Co. is Central FL's Puerto Rico.

This is exactly what I was asking about....PERCEPTION!

Of course Osceola County can't hold a candle to NJ in terms of QOL, income, education among other things

Allow me to rephrase the question.....

Do you think the people of Orlando look down on Kissimmee the way New Yorkers look down on New Jersey?
So I guess their simple answer is no. If you wade through all the other stuff.

and to be honest I don't give much thought to Kissimmee either.

HAD to reply since I just moved here from northern New Jersey and we are getting completely off topic, but! Paying 8000 per year in property taxes in the most rural county in NJ.....I would say it's not comparative to Kissimmee at all. Had to flee that 'sub-standard" state because I was sick of supporting the corrupt, money-hungry government, but its' definitely not the ghetto of NYC. Not at those prices.

This.

And I'd go back to NJ for the right reasons. Right now, those reasons don't exist.

All I know is Polk County is the 'Pennsylvania' of Orlando.

And Lake County is the 'West Virginia' of Orlando.

I'm going to guess you've never been to PA or WV.

Polk County is nothing like Pennsylvania. I've lived/been to both. I guess they both have roads and American citizens...

Kissimmee needs new leadership. They are definitely not business friendly unless it's a "los amigos restaurante" going in then they bust out the mariachi bands for them. I understand it's majority hispanic area but what's with the subtle racism in the city hall?
