Hello I currently live in NY and I am thinking of Relocating to Florida, I have been doing tons of research and I need opinions from people who actually live in Orlando or Tampa.....I do have 2 really good jobs lined both in orlando and tampa.....the problem is, here in NY my child is in a great school with all services, i'm just wondering where would be better schools and programs?? also better living conditions, and low priced rentals..etc..Any suggestion/advice is helpful. Thank you

There are a number of past posts for special needs services for people moving to Florida.

Even one about NY people with 5 gajillion hours of care/services for their child.

The level of care/services in Florida will be about 1/3 of NY.

The difference between Tampa and Orlando will not be much different.

Staying in NY will make a difference.

My wife works in FL schools as a SLP.

qdogfball is right. i am a Central Florida resident struggling to find the right school match for my high functioning autistic child. Fromthe posts I've read on this forum, I should move to the northeast. Which I just might do after my older child graduates from high school in 2 years.
