I'll be working near Disney and going to school at UCF. I absolutely loved the apartments beside Disney near Windermere, like Post Lakeside and Citra, but they all seem to be rather expensive for a 1 bedroom. Are there any apartment complexes that I might be able to get a one bedroom for under $1000 a month? And if you live in any of them could you tell me how you feel about it?

Thanks!

I can't speak to the quality of any of them, but in your price range and not too far from the ones you mention, you might took at Abaco Key, Mystic Pointe II, and Alexandria Parc Vue. Of those, Abaco Key looks to be the nicest just driving by. Mystic Pointe II has prices that are so low, I'd worry about the quality.

You could also try the Retreat at Windermere (although just above $1000 starting at $1015pcm) and Key Isle windermere Key Isle at Windermere Apartments | Apartments for Rent. Both a little further out but not by too much.

No experience of either yet but both are on my radar for when I move to the area.

Which are you doing more of working or being on campus? I'm not sure I'd want to live so far out from UCF (assuming you are at the main part).

Mystic Pointe is income-restricted housing, that's why their prices are so low. I don't believe they allow students who are a head of household to live there.

Try looking at 'Key Isle at Windermere'. You can get to Disney via the 429 or SR 535 and get to UCF via the 428, easily.

I just checked back on this thread and Key Isle at Winderemere looks like a good option. I'm just bumping it for some more insight! thanks for all the help so far though.
