We are looking to move to Seminole County. In order to know where we are going to rent (for now) is to find out where the good schools are located. Any feedback will be great.

Did you post that list as a joke?

None of those locales are located in Seminole County. Furthermore, Apopka is one of the worst school districts in Orange County.

ww.greatschools.org is a wonderful resource I used a lot when I was in school because my family moved around so much.

The best schools in Seminole County are in Sanford, Lake Mary, Oviedo and Winter Springs and then there's a small drop-off to the sub-districts in Longwood (Wekiva), Altamonte Springs (Lake Brantley) and Casselberry (Lake Howell). Across the board the first four are excellent perhaps with one or two schools at B's versus A's, but otherwise pretty uniform. The best high school in Seminole County is Seminole HS in Sanford, the best middle schools are both in Sanford (Sanford MS and Millennium MS). People tend to gravitate toward Lake Mary schools as "best" because of the racist aspect of many of those in the area. Lake Mary tends overwhelmingly Caucasian, while the Sanford schools are much more racially mixed..yet perform higher. Seminole HS's International Baccalaureate Program and Health Academy are excellent programs to aim for. The IB Program requires Pre-IB curriculum from either Sanford MS or Millennium MS.

Crazy me I didn't even read the question correctly. Yea what Kyle said all of those are excellent neighborhoods with good schools. I usually suggest those first regardless of the county because I know the reputation of those areas is good.
