Im not too concerned. I've lived in the roughest of hoods ...worse than anything in brooklyn . I stayed to myself and we were fine...the thugs never bothered us. If they know youre not in that lifestyle they will simply leave you alone. I lived across the street from a trap and next door to one. I dont have anything worth robbing and were not flashy. We will be fine. Im not the scary type.

The nice thing about this area is that there are ALOT of outdoor recreation options, even if your neighborhood does not have a pool, you could always visit one of these community pools:

Pools | City of Orlando Families, Parks and Recreation – Recreation

In addition, Florida's beautiful beaches are only about an hour drive away..

^ Can you get a mortgage when you your on public aid?

And I don't think a Walmart or theme job here will let you buy a place, unless it's at Tymberskan.

You cannot get a bank loan (mortgage) without a job or dependable income.

Girl I can understand what you are going through. You just want change which is so normal. But being from Georgia..the southern states are not good places for aid. You will be on the housing waiting list for over 10 years. As far as Social Security...$1400.00 per month?. You will struggle something awful. Don't put your kids through that. And as far as the weather...warm weather is okay sometimes..but it gets hot as hell in florida..its no way I would move there. I suggest you stay put until your kids are grown and gone..then you can have a vacation forever if you want
