As we continue to enjoy more of what Orlando has to offer, I've read some good things about Wikewa Springs Park. There's swimming and snorkeling allowed (90 degree heat in November is a new thing for us ), and there's trails and plenty of wildlife to see as well.

Anyone been out here recently? Does it get really crowded on weekends? Any good food nearby?

It does get crowded on the weekend but still worth the trip. In addition to what you already mentioned, it's great for camping as well. This 90 degree weather is unusual for this time of year, by now we're usually low 80's during the day and mid 60's at night, great for camping but I think this year's el nino is causing it to be hot. As far as food, there's a plaza on the corner of Wekiva Springs Road and 434 that has some good options in it. I like Mykonos and Tijuana flats. There's also a wing place, sports bar and other restaurants in the same plaza as well.

Yes, the camp site does allow overnight. It's great because you can wake up in the morning and go for hike, swim or canoeing. For good burgers and wings try Graffiti Junktion or Hurricanes.

Burger and beer? How about Flanagan's in the Winn-Dixie plaza? I'm not a burger guy, but they make a really good one.

If you enjoy it there are a ton of wonderful springs to check out. Blue Springs (especially when the manatees are in the spring run which will happen when temperatures get colder), Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, Rock Springs (also called Kelly Springs), Salt Springs. They're all unique and beautiful places.
