Can anyone please tell me about the hospitals in Orlando and if the areas they are in are safe? Specifically the pediatric hospitals please? Is there a hospital system that you prefer?

Thanks! (I have a couple years to go before graduation but sitting here studying for finals...)
I've worked at both Florida hospital and Orlando Regional medical center. In my experiences florida hospital was better for the employee and employee benefits.

Safety: Florida hospital and Orlando regional have various campuses throughout the central florida area and all pretty much safe.

You said you have a couple of more years before graduation. So i would focus on graduating and passing the NCLEX FIRST. Then when you are a licensed RN you can apply at both hospitals and see which offers you the best job offer.

Question: Why do you want to leave jersey?

For actual specialty healthcare, I would go with Orlando Health. They have dedicated children's hospital, a much more established women's hospital, the only Level I trauma center, and now proton therapy at their cancer center which is affiliated with the University of Florida/Shands.
