I'm able to live anywhere in Orlando within around an hour from the airport.

I'm looking for recommendations on the cheapest safe neighborhoods for single family homes.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Check out the west side of Port St John. It's a fairly easy 35 minute drive by way of the 528.

My cousin built a home in this area a few years back.
It is a great, safe, sleepy area - but extremely redneck - which is fine with many folks.
(Including my cousin who grew up in Manhattan.)
Just an FYI.

Kissimmee has the same crime level as Orlando.

Central Florida is very spread out, so there are very safe areas within Orlando and Kissimmee.
