I'm thinking that since there is so much humidity that perhaps you don't have quite the dust problem as we do in arid Idaho. We always have a layer of dust to contend with...all year, but less in the winter. Do you have dust?

Right...AC....forgot about that. I was thinking about the humidity in Hawaii and AC isn't too common there (or it wasn't 20 years ago) so the dust issue was minimal, IMO. Okay, well darn!

In the dry season, I think it can get kind of dusty outside since the soil is composed of mainly sand and blows around a lot. In my house I have not noticed an abnormally high amount of dust. I do use an air filtration system so my biggest problem now is cat hair that accumulates in places but is not in the air so much.

Recently moving down here from the Midwest my answer is NO. I have had MUCH less dust in our Florida home.

OMG I just moved here from TN, and I've been in the house for 2 weeks and the amount of dust accumulating so far has astounded me. I dusted maybe once a month in TN, and I have a 70lb dog, so it was not bad. But here, I'm freaking out at the amount of dust. And I have a Clean Affects Air Filtration System that is fairly new to the house. The only thing that I could think of was that it was because the house is older (built 1972) or something, but the dust is collecting on everything, even the doors. Maybe where you're from is different, so possibly you would think it is less dusty, but I have dusted several times since moving in.
