Generic as in... big box names that are full of crap... lucky charms, dorritos, oscar meyer, etc.

Because we have a ton of better grocery store options, maybe the new wegmans are nicer, but the one I went to was yuck.

Different brands, same generic stuff. I’m not being “nasty.” I just know what I shop for. A standard grocery store will never have everything I need. Wegmans isn’t that far removed from Kroger and Publix in terms of my shopping needs.

Woodman's, at least the one near our previous home, was perfect for my needs. I had no need to go to any other stores, all my shopping could be done at Woodman's. And, the prices were consistently lower than Jewel's everyday prices, and Woodman's weekly sales were even more appealing.

I really like not going to multiple stores to find what I need.

I cook and bake for my family. We very, very rarely eat out. I am from Eastern Europe, my husband is of German and Italian descent, we also eat other regional foods, and many of the items I use in my cooking are not available here in Central FL. For example, Daisy Smoked Pork Shoulder Butt. If anyone knows where to buy this in FL, tell me! Because it is a staple in many of the hearty recipes I use, as is a type of Farmer's Cheese, truly thick sour cream, real paprika (not "Hungarian style", there is a difference), wax peppers, Bende salami and kolbasz, true dark European chocolate, extra strong garlic, Pom Bar crunchies, etc. It is a pain to order these foods, some of it doesn't ship in the warmer seasons, and the pleasure of Woodman's was that I could buy it all in one place.

I can't speak for others on here, but for me, I would truly love to have a grocery store that stocked to the magnitude that Woodman's did, and had reasonable prices. It doesn't have to be called "Woodman's", it can be named anything, just give me the opportunity to do all my shopping in one place with a variety of cultural foods!
Here's a couple places you might want to try:

International Food Club https://www.internationalfoodclub.com/index.php

This is in an industrial park but it is has a large variety of European and Middle Eastern foods. They have a very nice British section. I like that they have real British Cadbury chocolate.

If the Farmer's Cheese you're referring to is Quark, I've seen it for sale here:

The Backhaus | German Bakery & Deli however it was a bit pricy. I've also seen quark for sale somewhere else but I can't remember where. I think it was at the Publix at this address: 741 S Orlando Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789 but I'm not sure. I notice quark because there was a German pastry I wanted to try making that calls for quark. It is very hard to find in Orlando but it can be found.

If you're ever in Sanford, Hollerbach's has a small deli/market that might be of interest:

I realize that these may not be convenient to where you are but if you're looking for something for a special occasion it may be worth the drive.

I always use Fage Greek Yoghurt 2% as a replacement for quark/curd. It is actually quark, not yoghurt. I use it to make my German cheese cake and the cheese cake turns out perfect.

Thank you! I wasn't aware that Fage was quark. That's certainly cheaper than what I've found. I'll give it a try next time I need quark.
