Now that Earth Fare has closed all of its stores, what options other than Whole Foods are there in Orlando for organic/health foods? (I'm not talking about the small amounts that mainstream grocery stores carry. I'm talking about stores with policies about what they carry.)

I do not know when Sprouts Farmers Market #634 at Dr. Phillips will open or when Publix Super Markets will expand GreenWise Market to Orlando.

Do ya'll think downtown Orlando would benefit from a Whole Foods in the city center?

Yes. Downtown Orlando needs it.
That and a Target would be game changers.

I think there is a lot of potential with Fashion Square Mall. Chuck has been buying out all the owners, there is still one more owner he is working with trying to buy his shares. He plans to make it an outdoor shopping, dining, etc town center. I think a Whole Foods there would do really well when that project happens. I think a Trader Joes would do better in downtown Orlando, very like-able cult following, good quality products and doesn’t require a massive amount of customers and parking spaces since their stores are about a 1/4 the size of Whole Foods.

It would be great if the city had a Whole Foods period. (The Bay Hill store is unincorporated Orange County.)

Do you think Target would build a store in between SODO and Fashion Square? Maybe one of their urban prototypes would work. I've never been to one. I do know that the urban Dollar General is opening soon if not already. I wonder how that will do.

Open air complexes seem to be doing really well, at least foot traffic wise.

That Earth Fare near ORMC hasn't been swooped up. However, I wonder how the parking situation would be if Trader Joe's leased that space. Parking obviously wasn't a problem for Earth Fare as the store was empty most of the time I visited.
