Oh yeah, we have them here too in Arizona.
I drive 100 miles R/T daily commute and between monster trucks, laser lights, strobe lights for brights, music that shakes your house/car, and roaring/peeling out of parking lots or intersections, I feel like it's one big
PAY ATTENTION TO ME! festival.
Or compensating for...?
Or having a lot to prove...whatever the reasons, it's tiresome.

Worse than that are the idiot biker dude riding in groups of like 100 up and down Semoran (motorcycles, 4-wheelers, etc) all LOUD AS HELL doing wheelies and purposely annoying people... Running red lights too. I live in Baldwin, and have been hearing that commotion for some time, never really knowing what it was, until I finally saw it last night. Ridiculous.

I think Kyle is right - no inspections. At least, I believe that’s a contributor. I’ve lived in 5 States and FL is the first for me with no vehicle inspections. While I’ve experienced fart canning in the other States, FL by far seems to have a much higher propensity of occurrence.

I know in NC for example it's pretty rare to hear, and also amped up bass playing audio isn't a thing either.

This problem gets resolved with regulation and enforcement. Hollowed loud out loud exhaust, not going to happen with emission tests. People wont spend $300 to make a $2500 car sound like a rice racer when it means they have to spen another $800 to make it pass inspection every year. Same as that blacked out window tint, people generally dont spend $200 on something they will get a pulled over and fined for constantly.
